Functional offset of several millimetres to meet all needs

However, higher radial displacements, which must be compensated for efficiently, are not only brought about by the misalignments above. These radial shifts and offsets can also be deliberately used for functional reasons, for example with adjustment movements in the processes of coating systems, or in case of format changes to modified secondary packaging in packaging machines.
 

Radial displacement compensation of up to 33 mm

In addition to compensating for axial and angular displacements, the Semiflex coupling provides high radial displacement capacity along with a compact design.
The displacement compensation is achieved without restoring forces by means of the unique system of two parallel pairs of links offset by 90 degreees. With this parallel link system, the Semiflex coupling can compensate for radial displacements of several millimetres - depending on the size and application conditions, even up to 33 mm, despite their compact design.
