Permanent even speed and absolute angular sync despite high offsets, functional adjustment movements of the machine parts involved in the production process, compact system designs - countless systems value the Schmidt-Kupplung because of its offset options, precision and compactness. Typical applications of the Schmidt-Kupplung couplings include:

Packaging machines

The Schmidt coupling is used in a wide variety of packaging machines and processes. It is used, for example, in the drive of cartoning modules, folding boxes and folding units, in deep-drawn devices in thermoforming machines for the packaging industry, in filling systems or in the VA version for blister packaging machines in the pharmaceutical industry.

Forming technology

Roll feeds of all kinds are the ideal area of application for the Schmidt-Kupplung coupling. It is used in countless precise and synchronised work processes, such as conveying metal sheets, cutting products to length and punching them out, and in embossing rollers.
The high offset coupling also performs efficiently in the drive of trimming shears - the final process of sheet metal processing.

Paper machines

The Schmidt-Kupplung coupling can be found in almost all stations of a complete paper machine. It supports, among other things, the drive of screen rollers, breast rollers, paper cutters such as longitudinal and cross cutters, three-knife trimmers and rotary cutter systems in paper manufacturing or processing.

Printing machines

The Schmidt-Kupplung coupling is used in various stations of the printing process. As a result of the essential, small-sized coupling system, the design of the respective drive train can also be extremely compact. The precision coupling performs efficiently, for example, in the drive trains of printing units, ink rollers and duct rollers. They ensure high output and productivity rates. Single inking rollers and ductor rollers can be swivelled during operation thanks to the large offset capacity of the compact coupling system.
