Controlflex® Splus

The perfect coupling for highly dynamic applications

The Controlflex Splus precision coupling has been developed for modern servomotors. Extremely compact dimensions combined with a small moment of inertia gives the backlash-free couplings decisive advantages for dynamic drive systems, which are often characterised by high-acceleration starting and braking. The precise couplings are predestined for servo drives, stepper motors and many other dynamic applications requiring high positioning accuracy.

Precise, torsionally stiff, backlash-free
With the structure of the FEM-optimised function element made of spring steel, the focus was on the transmission of high torque and maximum torsional stiffness.
The nominal torques of the zero-backlash precision couplings range from 1.2 to 120 Nm.

Minimal moment of inertia and extremely compact
The unique function element allows universal misalignment compensation in a single plane. The benefit is a substantial reduction in the moment of inertia and in the overall length of the coupling. Highly dynamic servomotor applications with a high standard of positioning accuracy are the job of the precision couplings.

Innovative hub design
The aluminium hubs are designed as backlash-free clamp hubs. The newly-developed innovative hub design underlines the further minimisation of the moment of inertia.
Two >>hub versions have been designed to enable adaptation to the respective application requirements.

Fail-safe protection
The coupling provides security against failure to satisfy safety-relevant drive tasks.

Function element specifically modified
Besides the coupling line for high-torque and reversing servo applications, there is also a second series of couplings on which the shape of the function element has been modified to satisfy the requirements of ultra-high-resolution measuring instruments.
