Paper Making Machines
Production and Processing: Paper
making machines are used for producing paper, cardboard and cartons. Here, the
material used in the paper making machine is subjected to various processes and
stations. These are the wire section, where the sheets are actually formed – from the headbox to the
optimisation of the paper quality, the press section, the drying section, the
roll up section and finally the slitter section.
Couplings
from SCHMIDT-KUPPLUNG
are used in just about all of the stations stated
due to
their precision, compactness and displacement capacity.
Schmidt-Kupplung
and Semiflex
: These compact precision
couplings can be found in many applications, for example in the drives
for
screen rolls, breast rolls, in paper cutters such as lengthways and
cross
cutters, three knife trimmers and roller cutter systems.
In
corrugated cardboard production,
the torsionally rigid couplings are
used in
drives for corrugated rolls and relief rollers.
The
axially rigid Loewe GK couplings provide for precise
setting movement for valve operation in the headbox. Axially rigid
versions of
the Semiflex
are employed for pressure rollers with lateral register device.
In
other processing machines
such as binding machines, couplings of the Semiflex range work in folding units,
glue rollers, binders and wrapping units.
