The ideal coupling for shaft encoders

The Controlflex is a precise coupling that has been developed in accordance with the mechanical and metrological requirements of shaft encoders. With its unique function element, the compact shaft encoder coupling accommodates all kinds of misalignment with extremely low restoring forces and low stress on the encoder bearings at constant angular velocity. The backlash-free pluggable coupling is electrically insulating, easy to assemble, designed for speeds of up to 25,000 rpm and therefore the perfect coupling for shaft encoders, resolvers and tachos.

Applications of the Controlflex®

Controlflex is the ideal coupling for encoders. Controlflex is a compact, electrically insulating and precise shaft coupling with excellent kinematic properties. Modular construction makes it possible to realize all possible bore combinations from stock. Typical applications are:

  • encoders
  • tacho generators
  • resolvers
  • transmitters
  • control drives

 
 

Minimal restoring forces
With the materially and FEM optimised design of the function element, the shaft encoder coupling offers minimal restoring forces in conjunction with high radial misalignment reserves up to 2 mm.

Electrical insulation
The function element of the coupling is made of Delrin and offers electrically insulating properties – important for potential separation.

Compact design
The function element compensates radial, axial and angular misalignment in an extremely short overall length.


Modular Construction
All bore diameters can be freely combined.

Balanced Design
The hard-anodised clamp hubs are balanced as standard for high speeds and acceleration.

Individual solutions
